Entitled ‘People of the Year by Comme des Garcons and SWITCH’, this capsule collection celebrates eight people from various fields who have been inspiring for their work and accomplishments: Nobuyoshi Araki, Naomi Osaka, Kotobuki Shiriagari, Stormzy, Kazuyo Sejima, Shuntaro Tanikawa, Patti Smith and Ichiro Yamaguchi.
Designed by Rei Kawakubo, this project features items of clothing with their contributions of art and inspirational messages.
Kotobuki Shiriagari:
Born in Shizuoka in 1958. Debuted as manga artist in 1985 with Ereki na Haru. He quit his work at Kirin Brewery in 1994 to become a full-time manga artist, and since then has published a series of works, sometimes fantastic, and some other literary which gained him a nation-wide acclaim. In recent years, Shiriagari has been actively writing essays and creating visual art works and computer games as well as manga strips.
